In this study, a new interference: circularly polarized light interference. By superposition of two beams of circularly polarized light with the interference results different from the traditional interference fringes or ring pattern. Circularly polarized light interfere with the results reflected in the polarization state of light, the phase relationship of the two beams of light by measuring the polarization state in order to achieve precision displacement measurement. At the same time, the trend of the polarization state changes also reflect the direction of the phase change, the measured object's direction of movement through a particular circuit can be determined, excluding the influence of vibration. Circularly polarized light interfere with the resolution of the system theoretically can reach the nanometer scale.
